Seeing as I'm most likely finally getting my grandpa's Escort within the next few weeks, it's time to start looking into a dashcam. I've been way too eager to put together stuff like this, just because:
I did make two videos before, using a potato scotch taped to the dashboard.
But that was stupid, only allowed for a few minutes of recording, and drained the battery super fast. So, what's the best deal I can get? It doesn't have to be amazing quality or anything, but as long as it can record a few hours at a time and isn't just utterly shit, it's good. I'm not looking to spend more than $50. Preferably less than $20. Used is an option, as I realize that's a low price to aim for.

Check the Chinese sites - everbuying.com and chinabuye.com, both have dash cams for cheap and free shipping

I just got a G1W from Amazon for about $50, based on most online reviewers saying it's a good low cost camera. Seems to be working, though I haven't downloaded any videos to my comp yet cause I'm lazy.

Seems pretty typical no matter what state your from. In attentive drivers are everywhere.
Your not immune from the situation with your aggressive driving either.

Wait did you make the first video. The first guy seems really angry.

Potato, car charger, universal windshield dock, dailyroads voyager app. That's how I do it. Anything else (Monoprice action cam, old GoPro) is a real pain due to not having dashcam features.

You should do that, post them as samples.

You can google some reviews on it, most reviewers post their own video samples.
